Biography of MD Steven Weeks, New Enterprise Networks Group of Lucent Technologies, Southern Pacific region
Managing Director Steven Weeks

We are pleased to announce that effective January 15, 2000, Steven Weeks will assume
the position of Managing Director, Enterprise Network Systems (ENS), South Pacific. He will be supported by Mark Leigh, Regional Vice President of Enterprise Networks Asia Pacific & China.
Steven has been working within the voice, wireless and data industry for more than 15 years holding various senior regional management positions within Asia Pacific for sales, marketing and services. Prior to joining Lucent in 1998, Steven has over the last 11 years held the following senior positions within Asia Pacific;
General Manager Marketing for PT. Excelcomindo, a newly start-up GSM service provider based in Indonesia;
Vice President Sales & Marketing for EasyCall Intenational, a 600,000 paging subscriber base operation within ASEAN
Regional Business Development Manger Philips Asia Pacific for wireless communications; and
Business & Operations Manager, Philips Business Communications Systems, responsible for sales and services deployment within the China market for wireless communications.
Steven has a Bachelors degree in Business and Administration (UniSA) and tertiary qualifications in Electronics and Communications. He is born in Australia where he studied and worked until leaving Australia in 1989 . Stevens management experience is well rounded in sales, marketing, logistics and operations , IT , pre-sales, project management and customer services. Steven has worked with and developed sales and services opportunities through direct and channel organizations, multi-national account teams and distributor networks.
Steven joined Lucent in May 1998 and has most recently held the position of BCS Managing Technical Director, Customer Services, Asia Pacific. He was employed to this regional role where he refocused Customer Services to be more customer focused, internally responsive and assisted in establishing service revenue related initiatives that have been required to support the growth of BCS sales and services business within Asia Pacific.
Steven will concurrently oversee the A/P Customer Services for ENS until a suitable candidate has been identified and will support Mr. Stephen Lopez who will assume the position of Acting Customer Services Director, BCS A/P until a new Director is named.
